Willow Joinery
Sash windows are part of the very fabric of Cambridge, from the neo-classical Senate House to the Victorian terraced homes flanking Mill Road.
A good percentage of these have been produced by master craftsmen at Willow Joinery – who specialise in industry-leading timber sash windows and bespoke wooden doors. Not only do the joiners meticulously craft windows and doors which are visually stunning, but their superior design process means each product excels in thermal insulation and weather resistance, equalling warm homes (with less sky-high energy bills!).
Willow Joinery also possess a unique ability to accurately replicate original details, from sash window ‘horns’ to stained glass, meaning windows and doors fit seamlessly into their environment, without compromising the integrity of the building.
Willow Joinery was founded in 2015 by carpenter James Gibbin and joiner Dan Raymond, who shared a vision for a modern joinery utilising innovative technology, whilst honouring the skills of traditional craftsmen. The pair were joined in 2020 by Ben Frater, a customer, who was so impressed by the sunroom Willow Joinery fitted he became a director! The sash windows, doors and casement windows are manufactured in Willow’s Carmarthenshire workshop using FSC-approved, sustainable materials including high performance timber Accoya.
Whilst in Cambridge, friendly sales manager Katie Benson – who has lived in the city for 25 years and has a design background – visits customers to talk through bespoke options, from glazing to ironmongery. Back at Willow HQ, office manager Ros Morris keeps customers abreast of the progress of their orders, before Willow’s professional team of fitters begin installing, with customers praising their slick, minimally-disruptive service.
Willow Joinery operate across a large area, spanning Cambridgeshire, London, South Wales and Shropshire, yet retain a family feel, offering a level of care which means they build long-lasting relationships with their customers.
