Domini Atkin is the very definition of a brilliant bookkeeper; time-efficient, methodical and organised, she enjoys all aspects of her job, from payroll to account management. Outgoing and engaging, she forms strong relationships with clients and becomes an integral part of their businesses, helping them to evolve and prosper.
Domini launched Limeflower Bookkeeping in 2005, after spending 15 years working hard for other business owners, during which time she discovered an aptitude for finance. Going on to attain her bookkeeping qualifications, Domini retained her previous employer as her first client and has since amassed an impressive portfolio based on referrals and recommendations.
Today she offers a wealth of financial services, spanning credit control, VAT returns, management accounts and payroll, aided by accounts assistant Tracey.
Her clients crisscross various industries and include local indie businesses such as architects, interior designers, beauty salons, engineers, recruitment consultants and restaurants. She also supports national UK clients including a luxury travel PR company in London.
As well as valuing her swift and professional service, clients love the uplifting and encouraging mindset that Domini brings to her role. An adventurer at heart (she ran a half marathon in the Himalayas for fun!), she is inspired by the 40 per cent rule, as advocated by former Navy SEAL-turned-motivational speaker David Goggins. He suggests that most people only work at 40 per cent capacity but if they push themselves out of their comfort zone, they go on to achieve great things. Guided by this ethos, Domini says she embraces work challenges and pushes herself to go above and beyond for every client, which in turn helps businesses to ‘find their power’ and create meaningful change.
