Many things inspire a person to start a business and for Joseph Howard, a family tragedy was a powerful motivator in creating media production company JACKsBACK Media.

Joseph lost his beloved brother Jack to suicide in 2022 and has channelled his grief into an incredible new venture. Jack, 26, was a huge movie buff, who loved the film and TV industry and aspired to be a producer, so Joseph decided to ‘live his dream for him’ by launching JACKsBACK Media in September 2023. Currently working full-time as an Operations and Compliance Manager for On-Set, who provide custom-built location vehicles for film and TV, Joseph is no stranger to the industry. And he devoted countless months studying photography and media production, determined to perfect his craft.

JACKsBACK Media, which consists of cinematographer Joseph, social media expert Michelle Chamberlain and highly skilled sound engineer and music producer John Riris, offer top-tier photography and videography services to create breathtaking visuals which narrate a story or convey a client’s vision. These include captivating commercials, engaging documentaries, event coverage and brand photography, shot using high quality professional camera equipment. Two state-of-the-art cinematic drones mean that stories (and ariel perspectives) can also be captured from the sky.

Social media management is a JACKsBACK specialism, spearheaded by Michelle, resident guru on online audience engagement and Joseph’s partner in life and business. Michelle is a motorcycle influencer and pageant queen, who has built a social media following exceeding 100,000.

It’s barely a year since Joseph embarked on his mission to create content to ‘stir emotions’ and already he’s garnered rave reviews from clients including Harley Davidson and Knight London Ink. Never forgetting his driving force and philanthropic mission, he has also completed a tandem skydive and 10k run, raising £1,500 for suicide prevention charity Papyrus, keeping Jack’s memory very much alive.
