Director Jackie Sharp, who runs the business with husband Nigel and a team of seven trusted fitters, has a wealth of industry experience. Before launching Sawston Carpet & Flooring in 2004, she worked for many years as a carpet and flooring rep, building up a broad product knowledge. Two years ago, the business moved into a stunning two-floor showroom at Eastern Counties Leather Site, providing abundant space to showcase its vast range of top-quality floorings. These include carpets, custom-made wooden flooring, luxury vinyl and laminates from designer brands such as Penthouse Carpets, Cormar, Victoria, Ryalux, Bondworth, Rhino Floor, Karndean and Domo.
Jackie and her team supply domestic customers and commercial clients across the region, and pride themselves on offering flooring options to suit all budgets, from the first-time buyer seeking cost-effective choices (starting at £7 per metre) to the business wanting premium bespoke tiles in corporate colours. They also champion British wool carpets and stock unique lines like Fired Earth’s curated floor tiles designed to match the brand’s paint colours.
Renowned for her friendly, outgoing personality, Jackie loves to interact with customers, particularly elderly clients, who she sometimes picks up from their homes for a showroom visit or take swatches to them.
