Just a short bike ride along the river from Cambridge you’ll find Fen Ditton Gallery – an independent exhibition-led art gallery, bringing renowned contemporary artists and makers to Cambridge through an exciting programme of events and exhibitions.

Run by artist/photographer Lotte Attwood and daughter Hannah Munby, with curatorial and programme advice from independent curator, Amanda Game, the gallery is housed in an elegant converted Victorian National School Building. And unlike some galleries, which can feel intimidating, this is a welcoming place in a domestic setting; it’s actually located in Lotte’s home!

Since opening in May 2018, printmaking has become a key strand of the gallery programme and they continue to build their relationship with master-printmaker Kip Gresham and The Print Studio, Cambridge, as well as supporting emerging printmakers with a biannual Contemporary Printmaking Prize.

Hannah heads up a Young Collectors Club at the gallery, inviting new and aspiring collectors to join a community of like-minded people which supports them in building the confidence to start collecting art. Through the Young Collectors’ emerging artist programme, Hannah introduces emerging and graduate artists to the gallery and looks forward to curating the second edition of the ‘Voices in Drawing’ exhibition in January 2024.

Other upcoming exhibitions include a mixed exhibition titled ‘Wintering’ (Nov/Dec 2023) and an exhibition celebrating the life and work of glass designer and painter Kathryn Holford (March 2024).

Alongside its exhibition programme, the gallery has developed an artist residency programme, offering selected artists the opportunity to work in the gallery space and create a body of work inspired by the surrounding landscape and the Fens.

Lotte and Hannah have worked with a number of private clients to source works for their collections and offer a free consultation for anyone looking for art advisory services. Contact them on info@fendittongallery.com to find out more.
