Located in the heart of Cambridge, the stylish independent restaurant was launched by Paul De Luca in 2006, inspired by both a love of people and his proud Italian heritage. The De Luca family originate from the village of Bovino in the South East of Italy, and though Paul grew up in Cambridge, Italian cuisine is close to his heart thanks in large part to his Nonna’s delicious traditional recipes!
De Luca specialise in modern Italian cuisine, with talented chefs Antonio and Bertie serving up beautifully-presented dishes, cooked from scratch, using locally-sourced ingredients, and bursting with authentic flavours. Signature mains include homemade classics such as Beef Lasagne and Melanzane Parmigiana, plus a mouth-watering array of pasta and risotto dishes. The mixed seafood Linguine Al Frutti Di Mare is a bestseller, as is the crispy squid, featuring De Luca’s secret recipe batter and homemade zingy chilli and ginger relish!
Delectable gelato has recently been added to the menu, along with Neapolitan-style pizzas, hand-stretched in-house using speciality OO Caputo flour imported from Italy. Diners can enjoy a little theatre as the chefs conjure up the dishes in the ‘open kitchen’ located between the stunning Skylight Restaurant and Bar. De Luca also boasts a first-floor Vespa Function Room and a New York loft-style cocktail bar, home to its ‘world-famous Piano Bar’ where professional singer-pianist entertainers -including founder and resident performer Robin P-iano – lead request-driven sing-alongs, from The Beatles to Ed Sheeran (and everything in-between).
