Cambridge Film Festival was established in 1977 and is the country's third-longest running film festival after Edinburgh and London. Taking place each year, in the autumn and running for ten days, the Festival brings together an eclectic mix of world, independent and mainstream cinema, new and as-yet unreleased titles (including submissions from filmmakers), documentaries, revivals of classic titles, themed seasons, short films and special events.
