Renowned for its lively exhibition programme and gloriously innovative artists, Byard Art also specialises in bespoke framing. So, alongside it’s light and airy two-floor gallery space in the heart of Cambridge, Byard has a dedicated framing workshop at dynamic business hub Chesterton Mill.

There, clients can find a dazzling array of samples of the highest quality frames and mounts, perfect for preserving precious photographs, elevating artwork or showcasing passion projects, from needlecraft to collage.

Byard Art’s framer Andy, who is based at Chesterton Mill, boasts more than 25 years’ experience, meaning he can mount and frame the most challenging, avant-garde art and memorabilia. His extraordinary framing commissions include an egg poaching saucepan, the front of a formula one racing car, Olympic medals, 17th century Italian Old Masters and children’s treasured first shoes.

The beauty of the bespoke framing service operating from two sites is that clients who happen to be in town can pop into the King’s Parade gallery to discuss their commissions with the friendly knowledgeable staff, who can advise on tailored styles and materials.
Alternatively, they can head directly to the Chesterton Mill workshop, which has parking right outside, especially convenient if they have a piece that is heavy and cumbersome or fragile.

With a passion for excellence, Byard’s expert framer Andy uses the best quality materials which are acid-free and non-ageing. All framing is completed to a certified conservation standard, and anti-reflective and UV filter glass are amongst the many options available.

If you’ve got a cherished photograph, much-loved art print or sentimental memento which you’d like to be framed, contact the experts at Byard Art. You’ll be in safe hands.
