Husband and wife team Matt and Lauren Rowley – the brains behind dynamic streetwear brand ATTREN. – are on a mission to empower individuals through fashion.
With an inspiring tagline: ‘Be Bold. Be Confident.’ the couple have created an uber cool, size-inclusive streetwear collection spanning hoodies, T-shirts, bomber jackets and hats.

The ATTREN. journey harks back to 2016, when quantity surveyor Matt was involved in a road traffic accident which left him fighting for his life. Through intense physio and rehab, Matt battled back to health, but repeated bone infections meant his left leg had to be amputated in 2020. The accident gave Matt time to reflect and make two life-affirming decisions – to propose to Lauren and re-evaluate his career.

Sharing a love for fashion, but unable to find styles that suited their body types, and with Lauren – a naturally gregarious soul – ready to move on from her admin job in the NHS, the pair took the plunge. They launched ATTREN. (an amalgamation of their names) in August 2023 with a star-studded London bash featuring Artful Dodger, DJ Luck and MC Neat on the decks.

Now based in creative Cambridge hub, Hope Street Yard, ATTREN. has four collections for men and women in high-quality fabrics. There’s The Classic (T-shirts with oversized silhouettes); The Hood (brushed cotton hoodies in vibrant hues); The Collab (T-shirts and jackets celebrating British artists, launching with a badger design by graffiti artist Artjaz); and The Crown (snapback caps made from vegan leather and cotton). ATTREN.’S streetwear, which features inspirational names in its labels as opposed to traditional sizes, will be available online, with the end goal to be stocked in Selfridges.

In the meantime, Matt and Lauren are already living up to their empowering reputation, sponsoring amputee charity Positive Bones. Together, they are truly making a difference.
